Accolades for Interstellar Messages (Re-issue)
Biblical Proof of UFOs exudes that same calibre of catchy desert-rock pop-sensibility as Queens of the Stone Age, Masters of Reality and Fatso Jetson. On the surface it's all hooks and instantly memorable singalong lyrics and underneath it bleeds uniqueness and talent. Masterfully crafted songs and an immediately visceral connection with the listener put Interstellar Messages up on that same elusive pedestal as other recent masterworks such as Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf, Big Elf's Hex and Unida's El Coyote (as yet unreleased).
They recently played a CD release show with Brant Bjork and the Bros, Fatso Jetson and Eagles of Death Metal. If you are into these bands and the whole range of bands that I've mentioned here in this review then it's safe to say that you'll enjoy this new Biblical Proof of UFOs CD! They don't really sound like any of them in particular, but they definitely have that same "originality factor". If you just fucking love great music then I highly recommend that you check this one out. And, it's nothing at all like their instrumental Debut CD for those of you that have that one and are wondering. Interstellar Messages is a completely new animal.. And it fucking rules!
Interstellar Messages is full of pretty catchy melodies, sing along anthems and heavy ass riffs back to back with just plain beautiful guitar work. It's intricate and delicately put together pop music in a perfect world. If you are a fan of Disengage, Queens of the Stone Age, Masters of Reality then you will certainly fall in love with this one.
