If you haven't heard Raging Slab before, their sound is full of tight usually straight forward rhythms- tons of dirty nitty gritty slide electric guitars- melodic vocals with harmonies all over the place. These guys have also been around for quite a while and are a well rehearsed machine. The songs themselves are all hard rock numbers with a few tricks thrown in to break up the straight ahead grooves...little subtle changes that really make the songs...and of course a ton of overdriven soulful guitar solos that will tear your head off. I guess the closest comparable band that I can think of to Raging Slab is that early ZZ-Top stuff...the tones, the feels and the vocals are all right in the pocket.
