| Two more bands have been added to the already stout list of heavy hitters on this year`s Sweden Rock Festival... HANOI ROCKS ( FIN ) The pioneers of Scandinavia glam rock has once again brought out the mascara, backcombed the hair and polished the gear. Mike Monroe has released several solo-albums during the years, but now its time for the real McCoy (geddit?!). and no, Razzle is not in the band. As you might recall he was killed in a car crash, with a drunk Vince Neil by the wheel. MELDRUM (S) MELDRUM was a great success on the demo stage a few years ago and have since released the debut album Loaded Metal Canon. The album has received great reviews throughout Europe. No wonder, as the band does the title perfect justice with their thunderous heavy metal, de-tuned guitars and fat riffing. Michelle Meldrum, who has previously recorded two albums with US-metallurgists PHANTOM BLUE, handles the guitars. And if you like more women at SRF. Listen and look at singer Moa Holmsten. That`s all i`m gonna say ! SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 7-8 JUNE 2002. www.swedenrock.com |
