The english part of our homepage will be alot better this year and evertyting that we have on our Swedish page will be on the english one, cause we have noticed the huge interest from all over Europe and the rest of the world.

Last years festival was a huge success and we beat the audience record with over 2000 people per day, and next year...

Sweden Rock Festival

The Best Rock festival in Europe (It`s official now !) :-)

Well, if we listen to the foreign press (and we should), Sweden Rock festival is among the best festivals in Europe and according to German magazines Metal Heart & Bright Eyes, we are THE BEST.

Among the other magazines that attended this years festival you will find Germanys biggest magazine Rock Hard, Metal Hammer (Germany), Rock Hard (Spain), Powerplay (England), Rock It (Germany), Roadie Crew (Brazils biggest mag), Scream Magazine (Norway) and of course the finest of them all Classic Rock Magazine (England) and alot more.

If your ead all the stories from the festival you will notice that without any exceptions everyone seems to say that we have a very good organisation and a great audience. The festival is also considered to have a winning concept and an incredible good artist line-up, and they all say that the Festival area is located in a beautiful place, close to the sea and the forrest.

In all we had around 250 Journalists attending the festival, and all the extrely good response we got, we excpect alot more from the media next year, especially form Germany where buss travels are planned, and even a special Metal Train, a rebuilt train set containing restaurant, disco, bars, and sleepin facilities for more than 500 people. This train runs to the other big festivals in Europe and the company running it will now take it up to to Sweden Rock Festival in 2003.

Next years festival will be held during the weekend June 6-8th 2003. We will now go for three days and June 6th will have between 10-14 bands playing on Sweden Stage & Spendrups Stage. At the moment we are working hard with dealing with artists for bext years show, and on December 1st 2002 we will present the first bands for Sweden Rock Festival 2003. At this point we are also releasing the tickets and the first 1000 tickets will be sold to a lower price.

Sweden Rock Records ?

Dealing with rock music at the festival for almost 12 years, have made us interested to take a detour out in the label business under the name of Sweden Rock Records.

"Fill Your Head With Rock" is one of the slogans we have used within the promotion for the festival and now we will ask people to fill their head with the rock that we will release within Sweden Rock.

Our goal and ambitions is to release music that spans between heavy metal and blues, the same kind of music that we are filling the speakers with at our annual festival.

We believe that in one way or another we have adapted a good ear for the music that we love and we hope that the artists on our label will stand for quality and creativity in their making of rock n roll and also be among the artists that will keep the legacy of rock music alive for the future to come.

During the autumn of 2002 we will launch the first bunch of CDs:

Twinball Remnants Of A Broken Soul

Spearfish Affected By Time

Slow Train Song Of The Day

Abramis Brama Nothing Changes

Locomotive Breath Heavy Machinery

Life Beyond Thousand Vision Mist

.and more to come
