FRIDAY OCT 25. 10:30PM HI-HO LOUNGE New Orleans,LA 2239 St.Claude Ave. 504-947-9344 SANTERIA w/ WE ARE ONLY IN IT FOR THE HONEY, & LAST GREAT LIAR THREE ROCKIN BANDS, ONE WILD NIGHT!!! COME PARTY WITH US!! Listening to Santeria`s third CD is like gazing into a kaleidoscope filled with haunted swamps, open fields, buzzing country power lines, Bible Belt guilt trips, cotton mouth delusions of redemption, grand mal hallucinations, voodoo dolls, and the bitter-sweet longings of people trapped in small towns, forgotten by the rest of the world. All of it, driven by massive guitars and an army of jungle drums. It`s a trippy collage of the South and America, minus all the Confederate clichs and corny sentiment. This is a picture of the New South; a place straining to keep up with the modern world...dogged by ghost of the past, filled with contradiction, and yet, still strangely proud... www.santeriaband.com |
