| Gas Giant is ending the year on a HIGH note! We just played the High Times Magazine Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam on Sunday Nov 24th. IT was a blast and everyone got Stoned! We opened the Cup this year and played a cool set of new and old numbers. The crowd really enjoyed the set a lot and you will hear and see more of this later in an interview in High Times as well as on the Cannabis Cup video compilation. The whole show was recorded on 5 different video cameras and 24 track digital audio. We will keep you posted when it becomes available. Also, in October played 5 great concerts with our German friends, Stefan, Mani and Philip in the band Colour Haze. They have just finished a really cool record to be out next year. Periscope is due out anyday now. We talked about releasing a 100 copy only 2CD-R set of the best of these five shows as all of the shows were recorded. We will keep you posted. Gas Giant also had a great fun time at the Stoned from the Underground 2 in Erfurt on Sept 13th. We got play and see our friends, the Good Witch of the South, who we toured with back in February. Great guys.. They have a new CD that is out now as well. So what about our new CD that was recorded in January and March of this year. I can tell you the final mixes and premastering were completed in August and we await the final mastering and a record deal. The final track listing is: There`s One, Moonshake, Dragons Cave, Phantom Tanker, Safe Haven, Orange Fender, Back on the Headless Track, New Day Rising, Not Aman, Green Valley and Mana. IT is 60 minutes of music. It will be up to you to decide if it is our best ever, but we think so. The music is not quite as heavy as the Pleasant Journey CD but as psychedelic and a cleaner but still raw production. The layers of psychedelic guitars will blow your mind! Our split-LP with WE is officially sold out now, as is the Pleasant Journey in Heavy Tunes CD. Water Dragon might have a few copies left but it is hard to find anymore. The Blind Man Buff (pre-Gas Giant) 4 track EP is still available as our about 17 copies of the Live series Vol. 1-6 4 track CD-Rs. We are only making 50 sets of these live songs and we have sold about 33 now. At our live concerts we have been making copies of our live concerts from 2002 available for 10 dollars or Euros each as well. So, what is up for 2003? Right now, we hope to tour with Colour Haze again in Germany and we will play the Swamp Room Happening in Hannover in May. That is all we can say at this time. WE really hope to have our web site back up and running again before Christmas. Thanks for your patience and keep on rocking! Finally, We lost our email list so, please send us email to the [email protected] if you want to join. Scott, Thomas, Tommy, Stefan and Jesper... www.colourhaze.de |
