JJ Paradise Players Club is a beast of ambiguous menace. In a lot of ways I would say that they're Stoner Sludge like crossing Red Giant with Fistula or Solarized with Jumbo's Killcrane. In most ways the Players Club is totally unique and very hard to define. The super crisp production and the inventive songwriting are the highlights of Regenesis.

There are songs that hearken back to Wine Cooler Blowout. But rather than being retreads of older material, these songs are improvements on an already established solid sound. If these songs are the new direction of Players Club, theyre going to do well. if you havent heard them yet, pick up Regenesis. Its a good introduction to one of the finer, noisier rock bands around.

JJ Paradise Players Club will make you remember why you fell in love with rock'n'roll in the first place. Led by ex-Unsane bassist/vocalist Dave Curran (possessor of the finest rock shout since Slayer's Tom Araya), the band rides riffs like men possessed. It's all debauchery and riffitude, and the J.J. Paradise Players Club sound like they're having the time of their lives.
