Shamen's Ride are a four piece from Sydney who conjure up memories of the Seattle sound. Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and particularly the monster size rythms of Badmotorfinger-era Soundgarden are memories that came flooding back when listening to Shamen's Rides' groove-ladden power rock. Heavy on the riffing distortion, thier best tracks ("Parachute","The Lane") cause massive tremmors by carving out a groove you'd wish they'd play till the batteries in their fx pedals run down

Roll Out The Red, the bands first full length recording is also their most fully realised effort to date. Boasting a sound that is both harder and sludgier but also more melodic and accessible, Shamens Ride have developed a sound of their own and raised it to the level where it stands true and proud next to the heavy and melodic sounds currently dominating airwaves and even manages to make most look pale in comparison.
