This is a heavy slab o' sludge from our favourite sludge purveyors Shifty Records. Dot(.), as I've mentioned before, are quickly becoming one of my favourite sludge bands. This Tokyo trio has only released a handful of splits and a single, but all of the material has been top quality. This song is a real knuckle-dragging, slow pounder of a tune, featuring their meaty riffs and dual vocalists who provide a nice mix of upper and lower register "vocals".

Fistula give us two outtakes from the Idiopathic sessions. "Dirt Bath" is much like their other material: slow, heavy and nasty. "Dead Skin" gives us a rare up-tempo moment from them as they kick out the jams. I loved their last record and these two songs would not have been out of place on there at all.

This record also features some cool artwork from a guy named Thugbad. Whoever he is, he should get more work, as the monsters and demons adorning this record are pretty sweet. All in all, this is definitely a record worth picking up.
