So we took a little time off over the past couple of months. You know how it is, sometimes you just have to hide out from everyone to keep yourself from going blind. Well, the sun is now low in the sky and the fog is starting to roll in, time to play some shows and record a new Record.

First off we would like to welcome a new Man of Porn to the fold, I`m sure a few of you are familiar with him, most likely since he probably produced or recorded half the records in your collection. Billy Anderson will now be handling the bass duties for Porn. Playing bass for Porn has been a dream of Billy`s for years, (at lest we like to think so) and it marks a return to the four-string since his days of playing bass with The Melvins (well, he did play something like two or three shows with them, and is also on a few tracks off of Houdini, so that counts) but Mr. Anderson is best known for his Recording and Production of many a band (Melvins, Sleep, Neurosis, Mr. Bungle, Orange Goblin, etc. etc. you know the rest). It also is a reunion of sorts as Billy and Jason played together in a few previous bands (Spilth and The Rake) so it was a very touching moment seeing them play together again.

Porn is now in rehearsals for a West Coast tour to start this week (dates below). We`ll be doing the tour with some friends of ours, Suplecs, Bottom, and Halfway to Gone. So it should be a good time (at least the bar tabs will be large). Here are the dates:

One of the West coast shows will also be recorded for a special limited Live release on 8-track tape with Ismist Recordings. "Why 8-trk?" you ask, well why not, and also Dan at Ismist has been asking us for something for awhile now, so he gets an 8-trk. There ya go.

A few radio appearances:

On Sunday March 24th Porn will be the in-studio guests on KNAC for Super Rock Sunday with Crazy Craig out of Los Angeles. You can log in to http://www.knac.com on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm Pacific time to request your jam or talk some shit.

On Saturday night (Sunday morning) April 6th Porn will be the in-studio guests on Rampage Radio "The Bay Area`s Heaviest Radio show" Saturday night/Sunday morning 2am to 8am on KUSF 90.3 FM San Francisco. More info can be found at http://www.rampageradio.com.

After we get back from the West Coast tour we will be working on songs for the next LP/CD to be recorded sometime in June/July for an early Fall release. Most likely this record will be with Small Stone Records but head honcho Scott Hamilton has yet to kick down the cash, (something about a crack habit we`ve heard??!!?)

Anyway before that you can catch Porn`s version of Neil Young`s "Heart of Gold" on Small Stone Records` "Sucking The 70`s" double CD comp due out sometime this Spring or Summer???!!!?? (This may or may not have something to due with us not turning our track in yet...)

And if that isn`t enough Porn will be touring the U.S. starting in early May. The tour will last thru June and will include about two weeks with our friends Bottom on the East Coast and an appearance at this years "Emission Festival", those dates will be announced at a later date.

The latest CDEP "Experiments in Feedback", on Small Stone Records, is doing well and actually has made it onto a few critics "best of" lists for 2001. There`s a new review of "Experiments" in AP (Alternative Press). They called PORN "an act of dark genius" and also said about the CD "Experiments is the true hesher sound of taking drugs to make music to take drugs to". Well allright.

One more thing, Moss is looking for another Travis Bean guitar, so if anyone has any leads on one please let us know--
