Accolades for Valedictory Songs
This was my stoner rock before I really knew about stoner rock, if you catch my drift. The thing about Nick Saloman is that he not only creates amazing riffs and solos, he's a great SONGWRITER. Very influenced by Syd Barrett, The Byrds, and Fairport Convention.
An ambitious psychedelic patchwork of Beatles melodies, West Coast harmonies, Sabbath riffs and wobbly Floyd trippery.
These songs could easily be compared to The Replacements, or even Dinosaur Jr. minus the vocals...great catchy tunes on this CD that just hook you in. Its classic pop mixed with blues rock guitars are a serious force to reckon with. I like it and can almost bet money that the Bevis Frond's audience is probably a broad one. Get this one for your own good, Nick Saloman is a genius in my opinion.
