The sound of Shovelhead hits very close to home with me. Touches my heart, so to speak. The warm, fuzzy guitar tone and playing style of Jim LaPointe harkens back to the Self Titled "Mudhoney" album - which is my favourite album of all time. The drumming is frantic and piled high with crazy snare rolls and packed with great fills at every corner. The vocals are clean, clear and out front and drenched with feeling and soul.

I highly recommend this CD to all fans of bands like the Stooges, Mudhoney, Nebula, The Monkeywrench, The Glasspack, Core and Solarized. All of that kinda stuff - top notch fuzz rock stuff here.
