Accolades for Do It Good
This CD sounds like it could have been released back in the mid to late sixties when music was on fire, particularly rock and roll. Imagine early Stones, mixed with Stooges or MC5, raw powerful classic rock. Not only is the style there, these cats capture the production, the tones of every instrument in fine detail. Full on rock and roll style guitars and vintage sounding set ups, full on rock and roll Keith Richards style blues based white boy rock and roll.
This stuff has powerful amounts of soul throughout, and it's obvious that Mugwumps are going for a vintage sound, but there are some clever parts here and there that comes from years and years of rock and roll. It's definitely saturated in garage and the production is a perfect polish and comes across like the real McCoy. Great retro song writing as well.
