Accolades for
El Gobernador
The [first] side kicks off with a very mellow, desert rock style guitar intro that reminds me of the Kyuss stuff- or better said - the guitar style of Mr. Homme...very mellow with lots of swirling Leslie cabinet effect on it. Psychedelic to the hilt...underwater... The vocals are allsang in their native tongue ( gotta love it!) and the tracks are really layered and all the right effects on the stringed instruments are all in the right place, and not overdone.
