Heavy, heavy, heavy. Hammergun has a throttling, tuned down sound that rips your head off from the start. Good solid riff rock with tons of girth. If you haven't heard Hammergun before, their sound is tinged in hardcore tendencies along the lines of Eyehategod at times...other times it reminds me of early Helmet but with more simple blues based guitar solos. Downright dark and evil for the most part. I dig this CD because it reminds me of so many different bands, but yet retains it's own soul. Get it if you like everything from Boulder to Bloodlet...Eyehategod...Sabbath, the works.
