Southern Lord Has Some Big Releases Coming Soon...

Southern Lord will be bringing you some great ROCK N' FUCKING ROLL in the next few months! On May 9TH "The Want - Greatest Hits Volume 5" will be released. Greg Anderson from Southern Lord calls it "some of the best 'no bullshit/down to earth' boogie rock ever. Very Humble Pie, FREE, Zeppelin, and bit of Sabbath. PURE heavy blues rock."

And in July Southern Lord will have the honour of releasing: "Mondo Generator - Cocaine Rodeo". Alot of you have heard them or have heard of them. Mondo Generator is the kick-ass twisted brain-child bassist Nick Oliveri (ex-Kyuss, Dwarves, current Queens of the Stone Age). Mondo Generator features a lot of Nick's friends including Josh Homme (Queens, Kyuss) Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Fu Manchu), John Garcia (Kyuss, Slo Burn, Unida), Chris Goss (Unida, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age producer) Burnt Matress (current Karma To Burn drummer), etc... According to Greg Anderson the MG sound is "very heavy punk, along the lines of Jesus Lizard, or (old) Neurosis, but with a definite Kyuss feel. If you've seen QotSA, and heard the songs Nick sings then you've got a idea of where this is coming from. In fact Queens play at least 2 of the songs on this disc at their live shows!"
