Test Site (formerly known as Blackwater) has a mix of super psychedelic fuzzed out sounds that are heavy, heavy, heavy to say the least. You can tell that these cats take pride in their tones and classic rock roots, it reminds me of everything from Zeppelin to Black Sabbath. They have great musical skill that goes above and beyond the call of duty for rock!

This CD fucking CAINS!! Like Ufomammut meets High on Fire meets Isis or something along those lines anyways.. When they do throw out the guitar solos they totally smoke! Psychedelic metal would be a good description of Test-Site for sure.

There are prog/math metal leanings to some of the tracks, but the execution is subtle enough for non-fans of that genre to appreciate. Vocals are used sparingly, which underscores a good point why bother singing if the song doesnt need it? And on this album, the bass, guitar, and drums are formidable enough on their own, to the point where you dont even notice a good chunk of the songs are missing the solos.
