Accolades for II
Keelhaul are great and the new album keeps up the pace set by their earlier stuff. Very heavy, with lots of time changes and alternating vocalists (although many songs are instrumental). If you dig this, also check out Dana's previous band La Gritona. Very much in the same vein.
Listening to Keelhaul is like being thrown in a swimming pool while on downers. You never know which way is up, but time is running out.
This record kills. Chaotic with a colossal groove like the Mahavishnu Orchestra covering Sabbath on bad acid. Amazingly tight and impressive musically without resorting to self indulgent noodling.
